A Weekend of Farms

So many pumpkin patches and apple trees!
We visited Hubers' Farm on Saturday and then a farm in Shelbyville with Mom on Sunday. By the time the weekend ended we had 5 pumpkins or gourds of various shapes and colors, tried our luck at the cake walk (Why do we never win? At least Mom always makes G extra cupcakes), picked apples, played in the hay and even went to a petting zoo. Whew - I'm tired but I love the fall season!

Kentucky State Fair

I know I'm writing this post really late! Gavin and I had a ton of fun at the Kentucky State Fair the weekend of August 19-21. We started off with going to the Boys II Men concert on August 19. While we made an agreement to only stay for 6 songs I definitely got to relive my junior high and high school years with the songs from dances. It was heavenly! :)

Gavin was really comfortable with all the animals when we went back to the fair on Sunday, August 21. Of course he had tons of questions about the animals (what do they eat, where do they sleep, etc).

We ended the day at the kid zone of the fair watching magicians, musicians while we danced and sang. I literally had to drag him away from the fair at the end of the day!
